4:52 Week Picture - Tired

I had Chris take this picture of us because this is how it is for me every day during nap time! Haha. I hold Braden while Shelby squeezes in to snuggle. I'm just thankful that they take naps at the same time!

Next week's theme: Sleep. That ought to be easy :)

3:52 Week Picture - Macro

I started following another blog's 52 week suggestion guide. This week, the subject is macro. I am not good with macro shots. I've always envied those who have taken sharp pictures of insects. However, I am also not found of insects. So this shot is a macro shot of a water drop.
This was fun but definitely not an easy task! It took me a couple of days to come out with a descent picture. It still isn't what I was striving for. I found it difficult to control water like Moses :) But I am proud of it.

So here is my fat water drop.

Next week: the subject is Tired.
I think I've got that down, if only I can take a self portrait :)

My beautiful children

This isn't one of my photos of the week.
I just decided to take pics of my kids. Aren't they adorable? :)

My handsome young man.

My beautiful little girl.

My adorable little boy.
I'm so blessed to have such wonderful children!

2:52 Week Picture

So my wireless network card went out on my computer so I can't post the pics that I downloaded from my camera this week. However, thank goodness for iPhones! :) So this week's pic is going to be from my phone.
We were running errands today and stopped to let Shelby get out of the car for a bit.
In this picture, she was obviously done with the swing :) I like this photo because I was able to get her looking into the sun while capturing her shadow in the background. Of course I spruced it up a bit with my Photoshop app. :)

1:52 Week Picture

It's been awhile!
One of my many New Year resolutions is to become connected with my photography again. Last year my Hubby bought me a Canon 7D so I can become serious with photography, and I really have slacked. I take pictures, but not like I really want to. It hasn't been easy getting some alone time with a newborn and a toddler.

So no more excuses! Here is my first picture of the year! YAY :)

I am playing around with black & white conversions. I created a mini-studio in our loft room. I am very excited to practice with Braden on his monthly pictures. I promise I will limit all my postings on my newborn son. I do have two other kids :) LOL. I would like to stick with children photography. Kids are so much fun!

52 week project! Week 27

I am behind a week. I did take picture during our family vacation. I am yet to take them off their chips so I can chose one for my weekly picture.

However, here is the picture for this week.

Jon's grandma passed away on June 26th. Although it was expected, it wasn't expected on the day it happened. I think we all felt that she was going to push through. However, God took her in. We had her funeral yesterday. As you can see by her shoes, she was very much Dutch! The funeral matched her just so. I think if she could see from Heaven, she'd been pleased.

52 week project! Week 25

Well. It's been a LONG time since I posted a weekly blog! According to Amy's post, we are on week 25! I think I stopped at week 14 :( There has been a lot of changes in those past 11 weeks. I've been consumed with a new pregnancy that had made me very tired. Plus, I was consumed with my son's baseball season by being the team photographer. So I have been taking the pictures... just not posting them! I will see about getting them posted shortly to try to catch up.

This morning my little girl decided to be lazy. :) She sat up on her knees, and then fell forward and went back to sleep. I just thought the position that she was in was adorable! She had her tush in the air with her feet curled behind her. Our bed sheets are blue so it really didn't go well with her pink and brown jammies. I decided to apply the Warming Filter to give it a sepia look.
